So you're here because you'd like to find out how to use Instagram Stories highlight icons. You know, those beautiful icons that go horizontally across the top of the Instagram profiles of your favorite influencers, bloggers and brands! Well you've come to the right got damned spot!
Highlight icons for your Instagram Stories are the perfect way to brand your Instagram, set yourself apart from the majority and make it look like you have your shxt together!
Here’s how to customize your story highlights:
DOWNLOAD ZIPPED DIRECTORY, SAVE TO YOUR COMPUTER, UNZIP & SYNC
Once you've downloaded your pack of icons to your computer, either from your email or otherwise, you will save them to the directory of your choosing.
The following photo tutorial is specific to a Mac computer but the steps are very similar on Windows.
After the files are unzipped you will put the photos on your device. I use an iPhone so the following photo tutorial is specific to iOS. If you have a Mac, you can AirDrop them to your device. With Mac or Windows, you can sync them using iTunes instead as follows:
USE YOUR DEVICE TO FIND YOUR NEWLY SYNCED ICONS ALBUM
When your icons are synced, you'll still need to move them to a newly created album. The reason for this is that as of now, Instagram doesn't show synced albums. Creating a new album out of the synced album insures that the album will appear when you browse for it from Instagram. The steps are as follows:
